Yueyang · Tier 10 Destroyer · Balanced playstyle
- 1
Preventive Maintenance
1 ptEssential5 out of 5Yueyang's 127 mm turrets and rudder are what keep it alive in a cap contest; −30% incapacitation chance for main armament, engine and steering is the best single point on a support destroyer.
In game: -30% chance of the main armament, engine and steering gears becoming incapacitated; +15% hit points of secondary and AA mounts. · Unlocked from 1 total points.
- 2
Priority Target
2 ptsEssential5 out of 5Yueyang is often the ship holding a cap for the team, either smoking up or radaring. Knowing how many guns are trained on you decides whether you hold or rotate.
In game: The detection indicator shows the number of enemies currently aiming their main battery at your ship. · Unlocked from 3 total points.
- 3
Fill the Tubes
3 ptsEssential5 out of 5−10% torpedo reload. Yueyang's deep-water torpedoes are its main damage source and they pair with the Torpedo Reload Booster: more cycles per match means more of the ship's actual output.
In game: -10% torpedo tube reload time. · Unlocked from 6 total points.
- 4
Adrenaline Rush
3 ptsEssential5 out of 5Faster reload on all armaments as you lose health. On a ship with a slow 4.0 s main battery and a 129 s torpedo reload, both halves of that bonus are felt.
In game: For each 1% of lost hit points: -0.2% reload time of all armaments and +0.2% continuous AA damage. · Unlocked from 9 total points.
- 5
Concealment Expert
4 ptsEssential5 out of 5The four-point spike. At 7.2 km base detection Yueyang can already out-spot most destroyers; with Concealment Expert it chooses every engagement and can place deep-water torpedoes without ever being seen.
In game: -10% detectability range of your ship. · Unlocked from 13 total points.
- 6
Superintendent
3 ptsEssential5 out of 5+1 charge to all consumables — an extra Smoke Generator (or Surveillance Radar), an extra Engine Boost and an extra Torpedo Reload Booster. Yueyang's whole value to a team is consumable uptime.
In game: +1 charge to all ship consumables. · Unlocked from 16 total points.
- 7
Consumables Enhancements
2 ptsRecommended4 out of 5+10% action time of Hydroacoustic Search, Surveillance Radar, Smoke Generator and Engine Boost — three of those four are on this ship, whichever slot-2 consumable you mounted.
In game: +10% action time of Hydroacoustic Search, Surveillance Radar, Smoke Generator and Engine Boost. · Unlocked from 18 total points.
- 8
Survivability Expert
3 ptsRecommended4 out of 5The final 3 points. Yueyang has no heal, so raw hit points are the only way to survive the cap brawl it is often forced into.
In game: +350 hit points per ship tier (destroyer value). · Unlocked from 21 total points.

Build complete — every recommended skill is already unlocked at 21 points.
- This is a no-reset path: every skill taken at an earlier milestone is still in the final 21-point build, so you never pay to redistribute points.
- Yueyang's torpedoes are deep-water and cannot damage enemy destroyers, so the build invests in torpedo throughput against big targets (Fill the Tubes, plus the Torpedo Reload Booster) rather than in a gun duel it would usually lose.
- Concealment Expert is the centrepiece: a destroyer whose torpedoes only hit large ships needs to be unspotted while it launches them.
- The consumable block (Superintendent then Consumables Enhancements) is chosen because Yueyang's team value is uptime — an extra smoke or radar charge changes a cap fight more than a few percent of reload would.
- Points are banked once, between 9 and 13, so Concealment Expert is bought outright rather than filling the gap with a skill the final build would drop.
- Fearless Brawler is deliberately avoided: its reload bonus only works while detected, which is the opposite of how this ship earns damage.
- Spot first and launch from concealment. Your torpedoes pass harmlessly under destroyers, so aim them at cruisers, battleships and carriers only.
- Never plan to torpedo an enemy destroyer — you must beat them with guns, radar or your team's support.
- Use the Torpedo Reload Booster when a battleship commits to a push; two full spreads in quick succession is your highest-damage play.
- If you mounted the Smoke Generator, treat it as a team tool as much as a personal one; if you mounted Surveillance Radar, hold it for the moment an enemy destroyer contests your cap.
- Engine Boost is your escape from radar and from carriers — keep one charge for disengagement rather than spending them all on rotations.

Inertia Fuse for HE Shells
3 ptsAvoid / Inefficient1 out of 5Avoid — halving fire chance for HE penetration on a slow-firing 127 mm gun gives up Yueyang's only reliable gun damage and does nothing for its torpedoes.
Fearless Brawler
4 ptsAvoid / Inefficient1 out of 5Avoid — the reload bonus only applies while you are detected, which is the exact state a deep-water-torpedo stealth destroyer is built to avoid.
Swift in Silence
4 ptsOptional2 out of 5+8% speed while undetected, but +5% main battery reload time. Yueyang spends a lot of time undetected, so the speed is real; the gun penalty makes it a torpedo-purist pick.
Main Battery and AA Expert
4 ptsOptional2 out of 5+20% firing range and +15% flak damage, with no reload change in current PC data. Extra range is a poor fit for a gun with a long shell flight time.

Showing 24 of 24 destroyer commander skills , rated for Yueyang.
Preventive Maintenance
1 ptEssential5 out of 5-30% chance of the main armament, engine and steering gears becoming incapacitated; +15% hit points of secondary and AA mounts.
Yueyang's 127 mm turrets and rudder are what keep it alive in a cap contest; −30% incapacitation chance for main armament, engine and steering is the best single point on a support destroyer.
Priority Target
2 ptsEssential5 out of 5The detection indicator shows the number of enemies currently aiming their main battery at your ship.
Yueyang is often the ship holding a cap for the team, either smoking up or radaring. Knowing how many guns are trained on you decides whether you hold or rotate.
Fill the Tubes
3 ptsEssential5 out of 5-10% torpedo tube reload time.
−10% torpedo reload. Yueyang's deep-water torpedoes are its main damage source and they pair with the Torpedo Reload Booster: more cycles per match means more of the ship's actual output.
Adrenaline Rush
3 ptsEssential5 out of 5For each 1% of lost hit points: -0.2% reload time of all armaments and +0.2% continuous AA damage.
Faster reload on all armaments as you lose health. On a ship with a slow 4.0 s main battery and a 129 s torpedo reload, both halves of that bonus are felt.
Superintendent
3 ptsEssential5 out of 5+1 charge to all ship consumables.
+1 charge to all consumables — an extra Smoke Generator (or Surveillance Radar), an extra Engine Boost and an extra Torpedo Reload Booster. Yueyang's whole value to a team is consumable uptime.
Concealment Expert
4 ptsEssential5 out of 5-10% detectability range of your ship.
The four-point spike. At 7.2 km base detection Yueyang can already out-spot most destroyers; with Concealment Expert it chooses every engagement and can place deep-water torpedoes without ever being seen.
Liquidator
1 ptRecommended4 out of 5+30% chance of causing flooding with your torpedoes.
+30% chance of causing flooding with your torpedoes. Yueyang's torpedoes only hit cruisers, battleships and carriers — exactly the targets where a flood is most painful.
Consumable Specialist
1 ptRecommended4 out of 5-7.5% cooldown time of all consumables, except Damage Control Party and Repair Party.
Consumable Specialist: −7.5% cooldown on everything except Damage Control Party and Repair Party — that covers smoke, radar, Engine Boost and the Torpedo Reload Booster. A strong one-point alternative to Consumables Enhancements.
Swift Fish
2 ptsRecommended4 out of 5+5% torpedo speed.
+5% torpedo speed. Genuinely useful at 13.5 km launch range, where the extra speed shortens the time an enemy has to react.
Consumables Enhancements
2 ptsRecommended4 out of 5+10% action time of Hydroacoustic Search, Surveillance Radar, Smoke Generator and Engine Boost.
+10% action time of Hydroacoustic Search, Surveillance Radar, Smoke Generator and Engine Boost — three of those four are on this ship, whichever slot-2 consumable you mounted.
Last Stand
2 ptsRecommended4 out of 5The ship remains able to move and manoeuvre — slowly — while the engine or steering gears are incapacitated.
Movement while the engine or steering is knocked out. Slightly less critical than on smokeless destroyers because Yueyang can drop smoke and wait, but still a fine 2-point swap.
Survivability Expert
3 ptsRecommended4 out of 5+350 hit points per ship tier (destroyer value).
The final 3 points. Yueyang has no heal, so raw hit points are the only way to survive the cap brawl it is often forced into.
Grease the Gears
1 ptSituational3 out of 5+15% main battery turret traverse speed.
Faster turret traverse helps, but with a 4.0 s reload and long shell flight time Yueyang is not winning gun duels through traverse.
Gun Feeder
1 ptSituational3 out of 5-40% main battery shell-type switching time.
−40% shell switching. Yueyang carries both HE and AP, so this is real, but the guns are not the reason to play the ship.
Incoming Fire Alert
1 ptSituational3 out of 5Warns you about a main battery salvo fired at your ship from more than 4.5 km away.
A long-range salvo warning; mildly useful when kiting away from a cap you just smoked.
Demolition Expert
2 ptsSituational3 out of 5+1% chance of setting a fire with main and secondary battery HE shells; +15% explosion radius of all munitions except depth charges when attacking submarines.
+1% HE fire chance. Yueyang's 5% base fire chance and slow reload mean fires are a bonus, not a plan.
Extra-Heavy Ammunition
2 ptsSituational3 out of 5+7.5% main battery AP shell damage; +10% depth charge damage. No calibre restriction is listed in current PC data.
+7.5% AP damage and +10% depth charge damage. Yueyang does have an AP shell, so this is not dead — it is simply small next to the torpedo and consumable skills.
Main Battery and AA Specialist
3 ptsSituational3 out of 5-5% main battery reload time; +10% continuous AA damage.
−5% main battery reload and +10% continuous AA. Reasonable if you mount the radar and expect to fight destroyers with guns rather than torpedoes.
Radio Location
4 ptsSituational3 out of 5Shows the direction to the nearest enemy ship. That enemy is alerted that a bearing has been taken.
Knowing the nearest enemy's bearing suits a stealth torpedo destroyer, but four points here compete directly with Concealment Expert.
Dazzle
4 ptsSituational3 out of 5For 15 seconds after your ship is detected: +20% dispersion of enemy shells fired at your ship and +8% ship speed.
+20% enemy dispersion and +8% speed for 15 s after detection. Good for surviving the moment a radar cruiser lights you, but Concealment Expert prevents that moment instead.
Main Battery and AA Expert
4 ptsOptional2 out of 5+20% main battery firing range; +15% damage from AA shell explosions (flak). This skill does not change reload time.
+20% firing range and +15% flak damage, with no reload change in current PC data. Extra range is a poor fit for a gun with a long shell flight time.
Swift in Silence
4 ptsOptional2 out of 5While your ship remains undetected: +8% ship speed and +5% main battery reload time (slower guns). The effect ends as soon as you are detected.
+8% speed while undetected, but +5% main battery reload time. Yueyang spends a lot of time undetected, so the speed is real; the gun penalty makes it a torpedo-purist pick.
Inertia Fuse for HE Shells
3 ptsAvoid / Inefficient1 out of 5+25% armor penetration of HE shells; base chance of setting a fire with HE shells is halved. (Numbers confirmed from one current PC source only.)
Avoid — halving fire chance for HE penetration on a slow-firing 127 mm gun gives up Yueyang's only reliable gun damage and does nothing for its torpedoes.
Fearless Brawler
4 ptsAvoid / Inefficient1 out of 5While your ship is detected: -10% main battery reload time. Also +1 shell explosion (flak burst) in AA salvos. Current PC data lists no dispersion penalty.
Avoid — the reload bonus only applies while you are detected, which is the exact state a deep-water-torpedo stealth destroyer is built to avoid.
